This morning I surprised myself and actually woke up early enough to make breakfast (that never happens, I usually just end up oversleeping). I cooked up some Whole30 approved bacon, along with some eggs. The bacon was not seasoned and of course didn’t taste like the bacon we are used to eating, which is fine. Regardless I actually liked it. I just seasoned it with salt and pepper and I thought it tasted pretty good. I would buy it again.

Today we went to Ruben’s aunt & uncles house for dinner to celebrate their 9-year wedding anniversary. There was a lot of food, and it all looked amazing! The hardest thing to resist was the picado, it was meat surrounded by french fries. To make matters worst there was bread everywhere, and for dessert they made one of my favorites, crème brule.... but I was strong and resisted. Even though as I sit here typing my mouth is watering...ugh.
But it was nice being with his family, and having multiple people trying to speak at the same time at the dinner table, and there was soccer game playing on the TV while we ate dinner. Portuguese people can be very loud. Haha. After dinner they made a fire in the backyard and we sat around talking. It was really nice.
